UTi Pharma recently made the decision to construct a new state-of-the-art distribution facility in response to the growth of the medical storage and logistics requirements in South Africa.
The UTi plant was designed to take maximum advantage of the ‘time of use’ electrical tariff to not only reduce the maximum peak demand of the site; but also reduce operational costs by minimizing the plant usage during peak tariff times.
We take a look at the mechanical system designed for this pharmaceutical warehouse and how the impressive efficiencies were realised.
